As Durga’s Tiger School for Tantra Yoga Shamanism is living in Ecuador with a massive indigenous population, they work with shamanism energy concepts as well, relating the shamanic visionaries of the Andes with the Tibetan tantric tradition. All this work is supported by the Kaula Tantra yoga, in which you will learn to create your sacred space and make the yoga practice a deep experience of self-encounter.
A yoga retreat is a gift you can give to yourself! You can relax, deepen your yoga practice, heal, share beautiful moments with other people, enjoy organized events; enjoy art, dance, meditation, music, great vegetarian food, and nature, and learn more about the ancient knowledge of this beautiful country.
During this retreat, you will discover the power of traditional Tantra yoga, of the ritual, of body expression as tools for personal discovery and healing. You don’t have to be experienced in yoga to join the program, and you can decide which activities you want to participate in every day.

KAULA TANTRA YOGA
%The traditional form of Kaula Tantra Yoga was transmitted face-to-face by Bhagavan Shanmuka Anantha Natha. It is unique because it changes not only the physical but impacts the psychological, emotional, energetic, and spiritual realms as well. They work with asanas, kundalini, chakras, bandhas, pranayama, mudras yantras, and mantras.
Different from other practices this series is practiced in a slow and flowing manner to build patience and awareness. Each asana is held gently for a period of time to allow students to relax into the posture. This way, each individual finds their own unique way of expressing the asanas without the pressure of competing or ‘performing perfectly’.
HATHA YOGA
%In Hatha yoga practice students move the stagnation of the body and mind. Through asana, meditation, pranayama, and yogic philosophy you’ll meet your physical and spiritual strength that cultivates the energy that empowers your lives.
MEDITATION
Conncet with different morning meditation techniques exploring the active and static way to reach meditative states of consciousness. Meditations include mantras, breath techniques, and sound or silence.
NATURE SPIRIT CONNECTION (Shamanism)
As we are living in Ecuador with a huge indigenous population, students also have the opportunity to learn about Andean culture, its cosmovision, and its similarities with Eastern culture. During the course, shamanistic energy concepts are explored together with the Tibetan tantric tradition.
APPLIED TANTRIC WISDOM
These classes are a powerful opportunity for self-discovery. As the course is based on experience we will create active and participative classes where we will work on some of the main aspects of Tantra, like self-connection, communication, intimacy, sexual life energy.
ART
This work is a fusion of tools and experiences that can be used in art and life. Get in touch with your inner child and intuition, develop the right side of the brain and lateral thinking, release patterns and blockings, open your ears and eyes to the present moment and to others, work in a group in more effective and loving ways, and increase your creativity and artistic skills by looking at things in a completely new perspective. They also use dance as a tool to deepen creativity and intuition through techniques of the liberation of the voice and relaxation in body movement.
CERTIFICATIONS
The course/hours count as Continuing Education hours for Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®) only.
